A few years back, my son made a deal with me: “Mom, you can paint in the swamp today if I can borrow your camera to photograph snakes.” … a win win situation, since it was always a challenge to balance painting with quality family time. We were both thrilled to stop at the swamp. The naked trees shone in the sunlight against the rich forest backdrop.
